Site Receipt and Installation Interfaces

Define the handoff from arriving package to installed furniture

Delivery to a port, a project address or a storage area does not by itself include receiving, internal movement, assembly, connection or installation. GEORGE Group can cover a project chain through site installation, but installation is separately charged where included. The actual destination, local team, scope, programme and compliance responsibility are confirmed for each project.

Installation work depends on verified substrates, fixings, access and local responsibilities. This GEORGE Group service image illustrates the activity; it does not identify the installer or scope for a particular hotel project.

Check readiness against the actual furniture release

Confirm the route from vehicle to final location, including loading restrictions, storage, lifts, stair turns, door openings and finished-surface protection. For fixed pieces, verify openings, wall or floor construction, backing, services and adjacent work before installation begins. Record conditions that differ from the approved drawings and stop the affected work until an authorized decision is made.

Where furniture contains lighting, power, plumbing or equipment, define who supplies, connects and tests each component. Installation of furniture does not transfer responsibility for the building services or local professional approvals unless the project agreement says so and the responsible party is qualified for that work.

Close defects and warranty responsibility with item-level records

At handover, identify each issue by item code, room or zone, photograph and status. Separate transit damage, installation damage, manufacturing deviation, missing component and site-interface issue because the remedy and responsible party may differ. State who protects completed furniture until opening and when the warranty period and notice process begin under the actual contract. GEORGE’s current B2B reference includes a five-year warranty, but applicability, exclusions, start point and remedy must follow the project quotation and product scope.

Send the latest furniture schedule and drawings, destination, programme, site contacts, measurement status, access survey, receiving and storage plan, local-trade scope and requested installation support. The proposal should return a clear responsibility and fee boundary rather than assume that installation is included.
