Quality control starts with an approved reference, not a general promise
A useful inspection compares a named item and batch with an approved drawing, sample, specification and agreed acceptance point. GEORGE Group can discuss production coordination and inspection for a project, but the checks, methods, records, responsible party and shipment release authority must be set for the actual furniture and manufacturing route.

Build the inspection plan around the defects that matter to use and installation
| Stage | Possible checks | Control reference |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming material | Material identity, colour or grain batch, thickness, visible damage and specified documents | Approved material code, sample and purchase requirement |
| First article | Overall size, construction, joints, hardware, upholstery, finish and operation | Approved shop drawing and sample or prototype record |
| In process | Concealed construction, fixing preparation, edge treatment, alignment and repeat dimensions | Defined checkpoints before the work is covered |
| Pre-packing | Quantity, appearance, operation, item labels, loose parts and unresolved deviation status | Item schedule, acceptance criteria and close-out log |
| Loading handoff | Package identity, visible condition, count and loading evidence | Packing list, shipment plan and release authorization |
Sampling level, tolerances and test methods must be agreed for the product and risk. A visual check cannot replace a required laboratory test, and one tested component does not establish the performance of every configuration.
Record deviations and who may close them
When a check finds a mismatch, record the item code, quantity affected, drawing or sample reference, evidence, proposed disposition and responsible owner. Distinguish repair, remake, approved concession and open issue. If the proposed correction changes appearance, dimensions, material, performance, price or schedule, return it to the authorized project approver before shipment release.
Inspection records should identify the date, location, batch, inspector and status. Photographs can support the record but need scale and item identity. A certificate cover or general factory document is not a substitute for a current product-specific report where the project requires one.
Name the checking and release roles
The factory may perform process checks, GEORGE may coordinate project checks, and the buyer may appoint an independent inspector. Those roles can complement one another, but the contract should state access, notice, sampling, cost, reporting and who has authority to accept a deviation or release the goods. Inspection reduces risk; it does not amount to a promise of zero defects.
For a quality planning discussion, send the item schedule, approved or draft drawings, finish references, quantity and batch plan, critical dimensions and functions, required tests or certificates, destination, inspection hold points, reporting format and release authority. Unknown requirements should be identified before production rather than added at loading.
